Technology recruitment company Harvey Nash is gearing up to create 100 new Irish jobs over the next two years, as it announces further expansion throughout the country.

The firm is now planning to open a brand new office in Galway, having added a Cork base to its Dublin operations in 2013.

The company's next phase will bring 100 recruiters, support staff and consultants on board as it enjoys an increased demand for recrutiment in life science, technology and finance sectors

Harvey Nash says 40 of the new roles will be in the areas of recruitment and support services.

The remaining 60 will be in its consultancy division, spread across core services such as life science, technology, finance and banking.

Its particularly good news for Galway, which also welcomed the announcement this week that Us online furniture retailer Wayfair will hire 160 new staff at its multi-lingual European operations centre in the City of the Tribes.

It is moving its existing Mervue Business Park premises, which employs over 200 already, to a new 30,000 square foot facility on the Tuam Road.

Positions will be available in customer service, inbound sales, business account management, finance, supplier operations, business analysts, recruitment, training and IT services.
