Taiwan's HTC has announced a net profit of Tw$470m (€12.3m), a year-on-year increase of 51.6 percent - this is less than the Tw$640m (€16.8m) recorded in the previous quarter.

In the same month it launched a number of new products, including the HTC Desire Eye smartphone and its first camera, the RE.

In October HTC indicated that it would continue to invest in new products. The company unveiled its newest mid-range phone, the HTC Desire 826 earlier this week.
