Greyhound workers to vote on new deal on Monday

Striking Greyhound workers in Dublin and management at the company have struck a deal on new cost saving measures, which could bring to an end the 14-week-old dispute. 

Final agreement on the deal, however, will depend on a ballot of the workers.

More than 70 Greyhound staff say they have been locked out of their jobs since June 17th, when they refused to accept pay cuts of up to 35% that were implemented by the waste management company.

Employees have been picketing at the company depot in Dublin for the last three months over the plans.

Ray Reilly is spokesperson for the workers. He says there are new proposals and they will be put to the workers on Monday morning, and each worker will have a vote:
