Coalition talks between Fine Gael, the Green Party and 15 independent TDs are continuing.

The TDs are currently in so-called 'breakout groups' to discuss individual subject areas, after an earlier round-table meeting.

However there is agreement within Government Buildings that the support of Fianna Fáil will be needed to ensure a government is stable.

TD Katherine Zappone says it will probably take over two weeks to reach a deal.

Michael Healy-Rae is one of 15 independent TDs taking part in the talks - following his release from hospital after being attacked by a cow.

He says Fine Gael should approach Fianna Fáil as soon as possible.

Simon Coveney of Fine Gael suggests further talks will be needed.

Another of those involved is independent Dublin Central TD Maureen O'Sullivan.

She says homelessness is the issue at the top of her agenda.
