A global day of action on climate change is taking place, involving more than 2,000 events worldwide.
Here in Ireland, a colourful family picnic was held in St Stephen's Green in Dublin this afternoon to try and highlight the issue of climate change.
Hundreds of people are reported to have attended the picnic.
The family-friendly event was organised by Stop Climate Chaos; the Climate Gathering; and People’s Climate Ireland. It featured an array of activities, including live music and circus performances, face-tattooing and interactive arts.

Ciara Kirrane is co-ordinator for Stop Climate Chaos and she's calling on the Taoiseach to make a change and commit to introducing a new Climate Law before the end of the year:
Emma Thompson and Russell Brand are among the celebrities who joined a rally in central London earlier today, while Leonardo di Caprio and Brad Pitt have marched in New York.
The New York march is billed as the largest march ever on global warming.
Around 30,000 protesters also marched through Treasury Gardens in Melbourne, Australia.
Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott was a particular target of the protesters after his government removed a carbon tax. Australia is currently reviewing its renewable energy target.
Activists want world leaders to agree to cut emissions at a major climate change summit this week. The UN Climate Summit gets underway on Tuesday in New York.
