Gardaí are calling for assistance from the public in finding a 44-year-old man who has been missing since Tuesday.

William Tiernan was last seen on Denmark Street in Limerick city centre at around 1:20am on Tuesday 12th December.

Mr Tiernan is described as being 5'8" in height and of slight build with blue eyes and brown hair.

When last seen, he was wearing jeans with a navy and cream jumper.
