Gardai in Co Laois have seized cocaine with an estimated street value of up to €35,000.

As part of a planned operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Laois area gardai have seized cocaine with an estimated street value of up to 35 thousand euro. 

Gardai from Abbeyleix and Portlaoise found the drugs, along with drug paraphernalia, during a planned operation in a wooded area near Ballinakill yesterday morning. 

Gardai have said that no arrests have been made and that the investigation is ongoing.
