Gardaí are investigating a woman's claims that she was abducted and attacked by a Tinder date in Dublin. The incident occurred last Thursday.
The victim revealed to police that she had been chatting to the man in question for four days on the dating app before agreeing to meet him, according to the Irish Sun.
The man in question apparently drove the victim to the M50 before subjecting her to a sex attack.
A source told the paper that the Gardaí are treating the case with "utmost seriousness."
Meanwhile, Gardai in Dublin are questioning a man in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a young woman in Crumlin.
The incident is alleged to have happened in a laneway near Pearse Park at around lunchtime.
A 24 year old man has been detained for questioning at Sundrive Road Garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
