Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for information after a 22-year-old woman was mugged in Dalkey in the early hours of this morning.

The woman's handbag was stolen during the incident, which happened on the Killiney Road at around 5.30am.

She received minor injuries and was taken to St Vincent's Hospital.

Gardaí say it is believed two men were involved - one of the men is described as being of average height and build and he was wearing a white hoody.

Investigations are ongoing.
