Gardai say he left the scene on foot with a sum of cash
Gardai are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery in County Carlow earlier on today.
A man entered a convenience store on Hacketstown Road shortly after 8.00am armed with a knife, threatened staff and demanded cash.
He left the scene on foot with a sum of cash in the direction of Carlow town. No one was injured in the incident.
The shop owner posted CCTV images of the man on his Facebook page earlier today, appealing for people to help catch the culprit responsible for the robbery.
