Gardaí in Dublin have seized a quantity of cocaine, heroin and tablets with an estimated street value of €6,000.

One man was arrested following on from the search which was carried out as part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of drugs on the north side of Dublin.

Gardai from the Ballymun Drug Unit and assisted by members of the Task Force carried out the search on a property in Shangan Terrace, Ballymun yesterday, Friday 10th February.

A man in his late teens was detained at Ballymun Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

He was later released and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
