A man who was arrested during the search has since been released without charge
A man has been arrested as part of an operation targeting organised crime in Dublin.
Gardaí seized €200,000 in cash during the search of a vehicle in the Fonthill Road area at around 1pm yesterday afternoon.
The operation was carried out by the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, with the assistance of the newly-formed Special Crime Task Force.
The money had been concealed in the car, and a man was arrested at the scene.
He has since been released without charge.
Gardaí say a file will be prepared for the DPP.
