The results have been passed to the investigation team - but are not being released for operational reasons.

Gardaí say that arising from the post mortems, they are not seeking any other person in relation to this crime.

The remains of the couple were released to family members on Thursday.

A third person, their son, remains in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.

He was found at the scene with serious injuries, and his condition is described as critical but stable.

The Garda Technical Bureau has completed their forensic examination of the scene.

Gardaí want to thank the local community for their assistance with the investigation to date.

They are contining to appeal for any person who saw or heard anything suspicious or unusual in the Knockadoon area between Sunday October 30th and Tuesday November 1st to contact them at Claremorris garda station on 094-937-2080, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666 -111 or any garda station.
