A Garda operation in Dublin has seized a motorcycle, a large quantity of cash and firearm components.
The operation was part of Operation Thor and saw six houses searched in the Clondalkin, Palerstown, Lucan nad Balgaddy areas of Dublin yesterday.
During the searches gardaí recovered a KTM Motorcycle (believed to be stolen), a “substantial quantity of cash”, and firearm components comprising of 9mm magazines, a telescopic sight and a large quantity of ammunition (in excess of 50 rounds).
Gardaí arrested six males, with a number of these arrested on foot of existing warrants issued by the courts.
One male was arrested under the provisions of Section 30 – Offences Against the State Act 1939 for an offence under the firearms act. He remains in custody at Ronanstown Garda Station.
Investigations are continuing.
