It is being reported that RTE is co-operating with a garda investigation following alleged 'menacing' phone calls made from the broadcaster's Donnybrook campus.
The Irish Independent has reported that the alleged calls were made to a high-profile businesswoman, who called the calls "menacing and quite creepy".
It is understood the woman received the late-night calls from an RTE number, but a source at the station told the Independent the calls were not made from the newsroom.
Gardaí are said to have interviewed a man - who RTE says was employed on a casual basis - in connection with the calls.
In a statement, RTE said an internal inquiry had been conducted and are co-operating with the garda investigation.
