A man has been arrested following the discovery of a woman’s body in County Louth.
Investigators found the remains at a house in the Clonmore Estate in Ardee just after 11:30am this morning.
Gardaí say it appears she died a violent death.
The house has been sealed off and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

At least two other scenes of 'significant interest' to gardaí are also being examined in Ardee, along with another in the Mandistown area of nearby Drumonrath.
Investigators have also requested the assistance of the Garda Technical Bureau.
This afternoon, gardaí arrested a 32-year-old man in the Ardee area in connection with the investigation.
He is currently being held under the provisions of Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Drogheda Garda Station.
Gardaí have said they are not looking for anybody else in connection with the investigation.
