Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a suspected hit-and-run incident in county Kildare.
It happened just after midnight when gardaí say they received reports of a traffic collision on the Kerdiffstown Road, just off the N7 at Johnstown.
A man in his 30s was found on the roadside with injures. He was taken to Naas General Hospital before being transferred to Tallaght Hospital.
Investigating officers say they believe the man was hit by a vehicle that failed to remain at the scene.
The area has been sealed off for a technical examination. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area between 23:15 and 00:15 last night to contact Naas Garda Station.
