A 63-year-old man has died after being hit by 4x4 vehicle in Co Cork in the early hours of this morning.
The incident happened on the Kilcrohane Road in Durrus at around 1.55am.
The man was treated at the scene, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
His body has been removed to Cork University Hospital, where a post-mortem will take place.
The road is currently closed and diversions are in place. A forensic examination of the scene will take place this morning.
