Gardaí are appealing for information following a serious assault in Blanchardstown.

A man in his early 30s sustained serious head injuries at approximately 1:55am on March 12th during an incident outside a licensed premises. He was taken by ambulance to Connolly Hospital where he is continues to receive treatment.

He is understood to be in a stable condition.

A 30-year-old man was arrested by investigating Gardaí, and has since been released without charge

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses. They are particularly appealing to anyone who may have been socialising in the area purchasing food in nearby take-away outlets or to taxi drivers working in the area at the time of the incident  to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station on (01) 666 7000 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
