Gardaí have re-issued an appeal for witnesses to a shooting outside a shopping centre in Finglas yesterday evening.

The incident took place in the car park of the food outlets at Charlestown Shopping centre at around 6.15 on Friday evening.

A balaclava clad man fired a gun a number of times before being driven away in a silver Volkswagen Golf with the registration 02-MH-7775. No-one was injured in the incident.

The car was later found burnt out in Shancastle Estate in Clondalkin.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, particularly those who may have seen the silver Volkswagen prior to its arrival at Charlestown or its discovery later at Shancastle Estate, to contact them at Finglas Garda Station on 01-6667500, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
