It's Election Count Weekend and Newstalk will be there every step of the way, with reporting, analysis and real-time updates across all our platforms on-air and online.

On-Air

Our Election 2016 special kicked off at 10pm on Friday with Richard Chambers bringing you the latest updates from across the country following polling day. 

From 8am on Saturday, Chris Donoghue and Ivan Yates brought listeners the first exit polls, tallies and news updates liver from the various count centres.

Jonathan Healy came to you live from Cork and then it was back to base for an hour with Colette Fitzpatrick.

From 4pm, Pat Kenny took over. With the first counts rolling in, he brought the latest updates and analysis right up until 7pm.

Chris Donoghue was from 7pm and then followed by Newstalk Political Editor, Shane Coleman. Our Head of News, John Keogh, was then on air until 1am.

With the counts to continue on Sunday morning, Colette Fitzpatrick will be on air from 9am with all the latest updates.

From 10am, it's George Hook with news & analysis, followed by Sarah Carey between 1pm and 2pm.
