A young Dubliner is being hailed a hero after he caught a baby in his arms after it was thrown from a burning building in the north inner city.
Mark Furlong saved the child's life after a blaze broke out at Gloucester Place just off Sean McDermott Street.
The infant, an older child and four adults were hospitalised following the blaze which started at around 5am this morning.
Six units of Dublin Fire Brigade and three ambulances attended the scene.
The two children have been taken to Temple Street Hospital, while the four adults are being treated at the Mater Hospital.
