A former U.S. postal worker has been charged with delaying and destroying mail after investigators found 4,500 items in woodland, near Atlanta, Georgia.
The Associated Press is reporting that Thomas O. Beaurem, a 25 year old from the small town of McDonough, GA, was indicated by a federal grand jury on the charge.

Investigators found almost 4,500 items in the woods, some of which was too badly damaged to deliver.
Beaurem pleaded not guilty to the charge and the case is ongoing.
