A former official of Anglo Irish Bank has gone on trial accused of conspiring to destroy, mutilate or falsify documents linked to a number of bank accounts.

Tiarnan O'Mahoney of Glen Pines in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow denies committing the offences between March 2003 and the end of 2004.

His trial is expected to take up to six weeks.
