Emergency services have been battling a huge fire in the Dublin Mountains this evening.
The Dublin Fire Brigade said the gorse fire started just after 6pm not far from Glencullen close to the Dublin / Wicklow border.
Three fire engines from Dun Laoghaire and Rathfarnham were sent to the area to battle the blaze.

The fire was visible from areas all across the south of the city.

There were reports of smoke across South County Dublin after the fire erupted and the fire brigade said they expect strong wind to carry the smell of smoke for some distance.
