There was some concern that after the less-than-friendly reception Fifty Shades Of Grey received upon it's release, that the inevitable sequel might not muster up quite as much excitement. Turns out we were wrong to even give that a second thought.

Universal Pictures are reporting that within the first 24 hours of the first trailer for the movie going online, it had garndered over 114 million views, beating the previous record of 112 million, held by Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

The first movie made $571 million of a $40 million budget, despite a 25% score on Rotten Tomatoes and winning five Golden Raspberry awards including Worst Picture, Worst Actor and Worst Actress.

Fifty Shades Darker is due on February 10th 2017, with new director James Foley (Glengarry Glen Ross, House Of Cards), and the screenplay supplied by Niall Leonard, husband to E. L. James, author of the books the movies are based on.

This time round, it's R'n'B crooner Miguel performing a slight remix to Beyonce's "Crazy In Love" over the trailer, so even if the movie isn't your cup of tea, you've at least got that to enjoy.
