A former Senator who suffered a brain trauma in 2013 has crossed the finish line of a Derry city marathon with his son.
Jimmy Harte suffered a fall four years ago that left him hospitalised for months.
The well-known businessman crossed the finish line of the Walled City Marathon on Saturday along with his son Lochlainn.
Lochlainn ran his first marathon back in April 2014 to raise money for the Beaumont Hospital Foundation, who worked with his father.
Lochlainn ran the full marathon and was joined by his dad, Jimmy, for the last few moments as they crossed the line together.
