Irish diner chain Eddie Rockets is set to open outlets in Germany and Spain.

The Sunday Business Post also reports that the group wants to raise some €2m through crowd funding, in order to open a further 20 new outlets in Ireland.

The chain has 36 restaurants - of which 14 are company-owned while the rest are franchises.

Founder Niall Fortune says they have appointed country managers in both Germany and Spain.

The company may also look to further expand in the UK, having opened a restaurant in Newry last year.
