The judge is to give his final directions to the jury today in the Graham Dwyer murder trial.

The architect from Kerrymount Close, Foxrock denies stabbing childcare worker Elaine O'Hara at Killakee in August 2012.

Mr Justice Tony Hunt will today explain to the jury the legal principles they will need to apply to their deliberations.

One person's been killed in a crash in County Meath overnight.

The single vehicle incident happened on the main Drumconrath to Kingscourt road at ten to one.

Gardai say a male died in the collision, his age isn't yet known.

The government wants to grow the value of the tourism sector to €5 billion by 2025.

It's currently worth 3 and a half billion to the economy every year, and Minister Paschal Donohoe will launch new policies for the area later.

It's also hoped the plans will see the numbers employed in the industry grow to a quarter of a million over the next 10 years.

A 31 year old man is due to appear in court later charged in connection with an investigation into reports of shots being fired in Readstown, Summerhill in county Meath on Friday.

Gardai arrested two men - aged 19 and 31- under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act on Saturday.

Officers also recovered a firearm and ammunition following a Garda operation.

88 athletes - from 23 counties - have been selected to represent Ireland at the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games. 

Special Olympics Ireland have officially announced details of Team Ireland who will compete in 12 sports including aquatics, athletics, badminton, basketball, football and gymnastics.

Athletes from 177 different countries will compete in the games, which will take place in Los Angeles, from July 23rd.
