A man has been arrested following a shooting in Dublin last night.
It happened on the Ballyfermot Road at around 9pm.
The victim - aged in his late 30s - was shot in the leg as he drove a moped on Cleggan Road.
He was taken for treatment to St James's Hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
In a follow up operation, a man (40) was arrested in relation to the incident.
He is being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Ballyfermot garda station.
The scene is preserved for a technical examination.

Sinn Fein councillor Daithi Doolan has also appealed for people to come forward.
