Businessman Peter Casey has announced his intention to seek a nomination in the upcoming presidential election.
He's the third star of Ireland's Dragons' Den show to join the race - following Sean Gallagher and Gavin Duffy.
Mr Casey is also the founder of recruitment firm Claddagh Resources.
He's set to run on a platform "based on connecting with the diaspora and with communities".
He'll be competing for a nomination against an increasingly large field of candidates, including Senator Joan Freeman, journalist Gemma O'Doherty and artist Kevin Sharkey.
President Michael D Higgins is seeking re-election, while Sinn Féin is also putting forward a candidate.
While President Higgins can nominate himself, the other presidential hopefuls will need the support of either four local authorities or 20 members of the Oireachtas to secure a place on the ballot paper.
The nomination process formally opens today, after the order for the election was signed by Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy on Tuesday.
The election will be held on October 26th, with nominations closing a month beforehand.
