While Donald Trump’s big moment at the Republican National Convention won’t come about until Thursday’s speech, his entrance last night onto the Cleveland stage has already set social media alight. Introducing his wife Melania, ahead of her now controversial speech, there was no denying that the Republican candidate stole the show with a showy move pulled right out of the WWE playbook.
During a night dominated by speeches that saw senior Republicans repeatedly warning that the United States is beset by enemies, immigrants, and that Hillary Clinton should be jailed for her past actions, all headlines and Tweets revolved around Trump’s silhouetted saunter on stage.
