Datalex saw revenue growth of 17% in its first half, as it took revenue of $24.4m (€21.8m) for the six months to the end of June.

Its earnings also climbed 22% to $4.6m (€4.1m), RTÉ reports.

The Irish company, which provides technology primarily used by airlines in their e-commerce and retail operations, attributed first half growth to new business wins, including several in China.

Its fifth Chinese customer is now live, with a sixth in the works.

Datalex has announced a new collaboration agreement with IBM to develop digital commerce products. It has also extended its relationship with the Lufthansa Group.

The company had a cash pile of $18m at the end of June, up from $16.2m year-on-year.

Datalex announced in June that it was creating 200 jobs across its global division over the next 18 months. This includes 100 new roles at its newly renovated offices at East Point Business Park in Dublin.
