Culture Night has said that it believes that tonight's festivities will not be negatively impacted by the Dublin Bus strike.

"We really hope it won’t deter people from coming out on the night. There are plenty of other transport options available," festival coordinator Aimee Van Wylick said.

The festival's free Dublin Buses are cancelled due to the strike, and the Dublin Ghost Bus Tour which were advertised in its brochure will not be available.

One possible solution for those with access to a car (or a buddy who will be willing to give them a lift) is a special offer from Q-Park car parks.

It is offering parking from 4:00pm to midnight for €4 in Cork, Dublin, Galway, and Limerick.

Normally these carparks can have hourly rates of up to €3.60 per hour - this rate is only available if you book ahead of time.

350,000 people are expected to visit museums, galleries, historic houses, artists’ studios and cultural centres across the country as 4,000 events take place in more than 40 locations.
