A hashtag encouraging the Canadian prime minister to discuss Ireland’s abortion ban with Leo Varadkar is trending on Twitter.
The Taoiseach will meet with Justin Trudeau tomorrow as he begins an official three-day visit to Canada.
Both men will be attending the Montreal Pride Parade on Sunday before the Taoiseach moves on to Toronto where he is scheduled to carry out a number of engagements aimed at growing trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
Ahead of the visit, a number of pro-choice groups are using the hashtag #justinformleo to call on Mr Trudeau to raise the abortion issue with the Taoiseach.
