Several people have died after a train derailed in O Porriño, northern Spain, emergency services said.
The train was travelling from Vigo, Galicia, to Porto in Portugal when the accident happened near Pontevedra at around 9.30am local time.
National rail company Renfe said "several" people died in the crash, while a dozen people are reported to have been injured.
State broadcaster TVE says at least three people are dead, and some 50 injured.
The train was carrying about 60 people, AFP reports.
The public body which manages Spain's railway infrastructure, Administrador de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias, has opened an investigation.
The accident has prompted five political parties to suspend election campaigning for the day, according to local newspaper La Voz de Galicia.
