After unveiling the new iPhone 6 last week, Apple released its new operating system for its devices yesterday.

People got excited. There's even a graph you can watch that show the adoption of the new system, and the banishing of the old, in real time.

iOS8. It's shiny. It's new. It lets you curse like a sailor while texting, without cursing like a sailor when your predictive text changes it to 'duck'. 

The new predictive texting isn't all too dissimilar from what many Android users have had for a while, but its been impressing and distressing people in equal measure.

But a new operating system costs, and if you haven't yet made the switch bear in mind you have a price to pay: storage space.

The Irish update requires at least 4.5 GB of free memory on your iPhone. So you had better start deleting those pictures. And emails. And songs. And epic never-ending GIF-filled group iMessage chats.
