Mars, the multinational food company, has bowed to what it described as the "nearly daily" demands of American consumers, and will relaunch the 'M&Ms 'Crispy' in the US from January.
The variety of the chocolate snack was discontinued in the US nine years ago, after it started as a limited run, though are still available in markets around the world - including Ireland.
Today, Buzzfeed announced the Mars US was going to start selling 'M&Ms Crispy' from January, and Twitter exploded:

Now that the Mars company has shown that it melts under public pressure, maybe there's hope that the many varieties of M&Ms across the Atlantic could make their way to Ireland.
Who knows, maybe with an orchestrated grassroots campaign and hunger strike, by 2023 we too could be eating...
Dark Chocolate
Peanutbutter
White Chocolate
Orange Chocolate
Coconut
Pretzel
Wild Cherry
Cinnamon
Raspberry
Birthday Cake
Pumpkin Spice
Strawberried Peanut Butter (whatever that means...)
Gingerbread
Mint
Red Velvet Cake
Carrot Cake
Vanilla Shake
And... Pineapple
Actually, on second thoughts, most of those sound revolting, so we'll just stick with the holy trinity.
