Four frontline agencies have written to The Minister for Justice raising concerns about victims of sex-trafficking being placed in Direct Provision Centres across the country.

The submission to Frances Fitzgerald by the Immigrant Council of Ireland, NASC, Focus Ireland and Sonas Housing has been published today.

It highlights international criticism of Ireland for failing to protect those who've been sexually exploited, and also outlines alternative accommodation arrangements.

Denise Charlton, Chief Executive of The Immigrant Council, says many of these women are at risk of being exploited further.
