Household favourite Gay Byrne has returned to the television screen for a new series of his one-to-one interview show 'The Meaning of Life.'

In the chair opposite Gaybo last night was British actor/comedian and host of QI Stephen Fry.

An outspoken atheist, Fry didn't hold back when asked what he would say to God should he met him after death.

In an expressive response, he said he would condemn any God which has created "a world in which there is such misery that is not our fault" and yet demand piety.

Leaning back in his chair, Gay simply concludes:

"That sure is the longest answer to that question I got in this entire series."
