The production of The Grand Tour, the former Top Gear crew's new series for Amazon, has been shrouded in secrecy, but executive producer Andy Wilman released some fresh nuggets of information at an appearance at the Edinburgh International Television Festival.

He discussed the process of filming with Clarkson, May, and Hammond as the trio prepare to unveil their new series.

The first series will have 12 episodes, and will be available exclusively through Amazon's streaming service.
