At least 24 people are feared to have died after a speeding bus plunged into a river in Pakistan.

Only one person is thought to have survived when it happened in Kashmir last night.

Four bodies have been recovered from the scene.

However local government official Ashfaq Gilani told AFP that there was "no chance of survival" for the remaining passengers.

It is believed their bodies have been swept further down river.

Geo TV reports that the bus was carrying almost 30 passengers when it fell into the river at Nauseri.
