911 children were homeless and living in emergency accommodation in Dublin during a 6 day period last month.
That's according to the Dublin Region Homeless Executive, which has provided figures from the 23rd to the 29th of March last.
A total of 1482 people were in emergency accommodation in the 4th week of March. That figure is made up of 411 families, which is a jump from the previous month's number of 371.
When work began compiling the statistics last June, 567 children were in emergency accommodation.
The Homeless Executive says services across Dublin's 4 local authorities are managing 'unprecedented demand' for places at the moment.
Last week, figures obtained by Fianna Fáil reported that there was a 25% jump in homeless families in Dublin since December.
