There's positive jobs news this morning as 300 new jobs have been announced across the country.

In Dublin, Aspire Technology based in Sandyford is creating 150 new positions, while Designer Group in Blanchardstown is recruiting for 100 new posts.

In Cork, the American cyber security firm Alen Vault says it will add 50 new employees as it becomes the first tenant for the newly-developed €50m Capitol Building in the city.

The roles include software developers, network engineers, design specialists and project managers at both experienced and graduate levels. It is beginning recruitment immediately.

Designer Group has opened a new €2m HQ office in north Dublin - the new hires will bring its headcount to 750 - that's up from 400 two years ago.
