iPhone users will be able to update their software from tomorrow
We were given a first glimpse of iOS 10 earlier this summer, and it will finally be available for download on Tuesday 13th September. If you're unsure about what you can expect, look no further. Here's ten things to know about iOS 10.
(1) Who can get it?
The new update will be available to owners of iPhones 5 right up to 7. If you own an iPad Mini 2, or newer, you will also be able to update your software.
(2) Where can I get it?
Your device may prompt you to update, but if not, simply to go your settings and hit software update.
(3) Write it
You'll now be able to physically write a message to your friends, rather than text.
Add more meaning to your instant replies, similar to what we've become accustomed to on Facebook.
(5) Rise to wake
Simply pick up your iPhone to wake it up. Your notifications will be there waiting for you.
(6) Invisible ink
Make your messages more fun with the "invisible ink" feature.
(7) Emojis over words
iOS 10 will make it easier to replace words with emojis by highlighting words for you.
(8) Rich Notifications
View photos and videos or respond to a message right from your notifications.
The Photos app can help you rediscover cherished memories — like a weekend hike or your baby’s first birthday — and even create beautiful films out of them.
